Leyton Orient: 'O'nly in East London

Nestled between Hackney, Walthamstow and Stratford, Leyton Orient offers up League One football in a corner of London surrounded by Premier League clubs. If you're in and around East London and are in need of a matchday fix, look no further than Brisbane Road.

Leyton Orient stands

There wasn't much of a pre-match atmosphere and given the stadium is smack bang in a residential area, there weren't many food trucks or local boozers we could see. However, The Supporters Club is a charming bar accessed from outside the stadium and is a safe bet for a pre-match pint amongst the fans. Entry for non-members costs £1 at the door, so bring a gold coin!

Brisbane Road wasn't the most raucous stadium we've been to, but you could chalk it up to a slow start from the home team. A few attacking corners lifted the mood late in the game, but it wasn't enough to get them over the line and things ended in a nil-all draw.

Like many stadiums, the south stand is home to the loudest fans, so head there to get amongst the action.

If you didn't line your stomach on the way in, refuel with a chilli dog from the concourse at half-time. And if it's cold out, grab a cuppa and head back to your seat for some second-half action.

Getting to the stadium is easy, with Leyton being the nearest train station serviced by the Central line. If Stratford is a convenient connection, there are buses that'll take you even closer to the stadium from there.
